Woodmere Art Museum, in cooperation with the Ballinglen Arts Foundation, County Mayo, Ireland, is pleased to offer an extraordinary art-making experience
with internationally recognized master artists Randall Exon and Jeffrey Reed.
The West of Ireland has influenced and inspired the greatest Irish painters, poets,
and writers for centuries. Since 1992 hundreds of artists from Ireland, the United
States, Europe, and Asia have come to the small village of Ballycastle to experience
the extraordinary beauty of this coastal area and the unique culture and hospitality
of its people.
Designed for individuals working in painting and drawing, the course offers 5-1/2 days
a week of intense studio and landscape sessions that will improve and strengthen
your working understanding of design, color, paint application, composition, and the
effects of light and atmosphere. The course includes a regular schedule of plein air
excursions, demonstrations, lectures, and critiques. There will be a meet and greet
and plein air demonstration held at Woodmere Art Museum before leaving for Ireland.
This program is geared for artists with
intermediate to advanced experience. Space is limited. Fee includes course work,
housing, food, and transportation from Dublin. For more information or call 215-247-0948.
